‘If revealed about sexual abuse, Kuttichathan will haunt you'; Prabath excelled in astrology

KOCHI: The police said astrologer Prabhat Bhaskaran, arrested for sexually abusing a woman under the guise of Chathanseva, is excellent in astrology. His relatives are also well-known people in the field of astrology. Prabhat, a native of Thrissur, was arrested by the Palarivattom police. He had circulated on social media that he could do miracles through Chathanseva.

The woman contacted the astrologer after seeing the advertisement on social media. The puja was in the name of solving a family issue. The puja was performed at the center in Thrissur in May. However, he invited her to Kochi saying that the puja conducted did not yield any results and then sexually abused her. He directed that no one else should be present while performing the pujas. The woman in her complaint said that Prabhat said that if she reveals about the abuse, then Kuttichathan would harm her and he then threatened to kill her. She filed the complaint with the Kochi City Police Commissioner. He was produced in the court and remanded in judicial custody. The accused has been shifted to Kakkanad District Jail.

Meantime, the police have intensified search for astrologer Anish of Malayinkeezhu in Thiruvananthapuram, who abused a woman and made her pregnant under the guise of astrology. Based on the complaint received by the Kochi City Police Commissioner, the Palarivattom Police is conducting an investigation for him.
