‘We need the party here, not individuals; give the movement back to us’; flex board against Kadakampally Surendran in Kazhakkoottam

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A flex board has appeared against former minister and LDF candidate Kadakampally Surendran following the defeat in the assembly elections. The board’s wordings are ‘Let the rule of money perish, let democracy grow. What we need here is the party, not individuals. Give our movement back to us.’

The flex also carries the pictures of Kadakampally Surendran and Shyam Mohan, a member of the Kazhakkoottam area committee and also a DYFI district secretariat member.

The flex was placed in the name of Kulathoor Sakhakkal. Earlier, factionalism had surfaced in the Kazhakkoottam area committee and in Kulathoor for reinstating of some former party members. CPM had suffered heavy defeats in the Kulathoor and Attipra regions during the local body elections. The party also failed to achieve its expected victory in the assembly elections. The BJP opening its account in the Kazhakkoottam constituency through V Muraleedharan has dealt a major setback to the party.
