THRISSUR: A Congress worker performed a special pooja for Ramesh Chennithala. The pooja was performed at the Kumaranchira Bhagavathy temple in Nandipulam, Thrissur. The pooja is for Ramesh Chennithala to become the chief minister. The daily pooja, Guruthi Pushpanjali and Otta Sarkara Nivediya were performed. INTUC Thrissur District Vice President K N Narayanan offered the pooja at the temple.

Meantime, a crucial Congress legislative party meeting will be held today to decide the chief minister. It is reported that AICC observers Ajay Maken and Mukul Wasni will meet the MLAs. A meeting will also be held with the leaders of the constituent parties this evening. Most probably, the decision of the high command will come by Sunday. Presently, the factions of V D Satheesan, Ramesh Chennithala and K C Venugopal are strengthening their claims for the post of chief minister. They have even offered ministerial posts to keep the MLAs with them. Fluxes have lined up for K C Venugopal in front of the KPCC office. Fluxes in favor of VD Satheesan and Ramesh Chennithala are also appearing in many places. The report says that the Congress top leadership is unhappy with all this.
