Social media is currently flooded with videos of fans greeting the clip with thunderous applause and cheers. The updated title card reads: "Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, C. Joseph Vijay." Following the text, the footage features a powerful shot of Vijay walking in a police uniform. Fans online are claiming this is the first time in Indian history that an actor has received a "CM title card" on the big screen.
In the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Vijay’s TVK emerged as the single largest party, securing 108 out of 234 seats. Vijay himself secured a double victory by winning in both the Perambur and Tiruchirappalli East constituencies. Since he must vacate one of these seats, a by-election will soon be required.

While TVK is the leading party, they are currently 10 seats short of the 118-seat majority required to form a government. To officially take power, the party will need to secure the support of at least 11 more MLAs.
