Siddharth's death: Appeal filed against verdict allowing accused to appear for exam

KOCHI: The Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University has filed an appeal against the High Court verdict allowing the students accused in the death of Pookode Veterinary College student JS Siddharth to appear for the examination. The varsity filed appeals in two cases on Saturday night. It will file an appeal in the other two cases on Monday.

The appeal was filed against two verdicts which allowed final-year and second-year students to appear for the examination. The anti-ragging committee had prepared the appeal documents the other day. Eight students were given permission to appear for the exam. Following the verdict, the accused appeared for an examination in one subject.
