Attempt to attack spa employee, woman escapes in lorry; five arrested

MUVATTUPUZHA: Five people have been arrested for trying to attack a spa employee after following her at night. The woman escaped in a Taurus lorry. The youths also followed the lorry on a bike. As informed by the woman, the police stopped the vehicle at Piravom. The police arrested the youths who had escaped at 2 am today. The names of the arrested will be released after the procedures are completed.

The youths misbehaved with the woman, an employee of the spa, who was returning after work. The woman then tried to escape from the place by asking for a lift on a passing bike. The youths chased the bike and soon he stopped a lorry that was passing by and put her in that vehicle. The woman then called the police control room and passed the information. The police then stopped the lorry at Piravom. The police initially thought that the woman was kidnapped by the driver of the Taurus lorry. When she said that some youths were chasing her, the police conducted an investigation and took all the five into custody.
