Boy injured in the stray dog attack

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 11-year-old boy lost his finger in a stray dog attack at Nagaroor in the capital city. The victim is Sharan, son of Raju and Anju of Mottaluvila. The body is presently undergoing treatment.

When Sharan and his younger sister were playing in the yard of their house on Saturday evening, a stray dog suddenly charged at them. The younger sister, who got terrified, ran into the house crying. The stray dog then attacked Sharan and bit off half of one of the fingers on his right hand.

Reports say Sharan also sustained injuries to his leg in the attack. He was immediately admitted to the SAT Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. The local residents said the same stray dog had also attacked the pets nearby.
