Veteran cinematographer T N Krishnankutty passes away

ALAPPUZHA: Veteran cinematographer T N Krishnankutty and a resident of Thaiparambu House at Poonthuppu Ward in Alappuzha passed away. He was 66. He first wielded camera for ‘Umma’ directed by Kunchacko and produced by Udaya in 1960. He had worked as a cinematographer for more than 70 films, including Ladies Hostel, the first film directed by Hariharan.

He also handled camera for films directed by Thikkurissi Sukumaran Nair, M M Nesan, P J Antony, Shashi Kumar, A B Raj, Veni, K P Pillai and K Narayanan.


He is survived by his wife, Lalithamma, and children Harikrishnan, Jayakrishnan and Jyothikrishnan. He will be laid to rest at 2 pm in the premises of his house.
