NEW DELHI: The Congress has protested against the incident of blocking the reel and picture shared by Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi with Vijay on social media. Senior Congress leaders have alleged that Instagram blocked the reel and picture due to the intervention of the central government. However, the Centre's explanation is that this was due to a technical glitch on the part of Instagram.

TVK leader and actor Vijay was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu yesterday. Rahul Gandhi also attended the ceremony. It is reported that 12 million people viewed the reel within an hour. The picture of Rahul and Vijay together was viewed by 46 million people. Soon Instagram removed this. This incident has now led to major controversies.

However, the Centre has denied all the allegations. The central government has explained that the government has no role in removing the posts and that it was a technical glitch from the side of Instagram.
