'Sincere party worker; Pradhan met BJP president on first day of protest'

NEW DELHI: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned yesterday following protests over the NEET question paper leak. It is now reported that Dharmendra Pradhan expressed his willingness to resign on the very first day of the protests. Madhya Pradesh Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya revealed this to the media. Kailash clarified that Dharmendra Pradhan kept the party's interest paramount and he never showed any hesitation when it came to resigning from the post.

"Dharmendra Pradhan informed the BJP president that he was ready to resign from the post as soon as the protests started. But the party felt it was too early to decide anything. Later, when the party asked for his resignation, Pradhan showed no resistance. He performed all the responsibilities entrusted to him with sincerity and honesty," said Kailash Vijayvargiya.

Meanwhile, some sections reported that Dharmendra Pradhan was forced to resign after RSS support waned. Pradhan announced his resignation through his X account within hours of RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat’s implicit statement supporting the youths.

“Today's youth need answers. Their concern is not obedience. Don't give orders. Intervene through love, dialogue and mutual understanding.” Said Mohan Bhagwat.
