Lightning disrupts Friday exams; Calicut University postpones Monday tests too

MALAPPURAM: University of Calicut has postponed the examinations scheduled for Monday due to technical reasons, university authorities said. The revised date will be announced later. Examinations scheduled for other days will be held as planned. Internal, practical and viva examinations will also take place as scheduled, according to the university notice.

The university had earlier postponed examinations scheduled for the previous day after lightning disrupted the internet connection at the examination building. The disruption occurred during a thunderstorm on Thursday evening. University authorities decided to postpone the examinations on Thursday night after the question papers could not be uploaded by 7 am, as required.
