Injuries on head and face; middle-aged man found dead in Alappuzha

ALAPPUZHA: Santhosh (53) of Velikkakathu House, Verungilchuvadu West, in Ward 14 of Thanneermukkom panchayat, was found dead at his home. The incident came to light Sunday morning at around 7 am. There were injury marks on his head and face. The door of the house was found open. A bamboo piece was also recovered from the room.

Santhosh's wife and children were estranged from him and had been living in another house. A girl had filed a complaint against Santhosh at the Muhamma police station the other day, alleging that he had looked at her in an inappropriate manner. Although he was summoned to the police station, Santhosh failed to appear. When the police reached his house this morning, he was found dead. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
