‘Loka Kerala Sabha to be discontinued; Not a single rupee allocated for it,’ clarifies office of CM

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The office of the chief minister has informed that the UDF’s political decision is not to continue with the Loka Kerala Sabha and there is no change in it. This government is not considering to organise the Loka Kerala Sabha in the same manner as it was conducted during the tenure of the LDF government. The chief minister’s office also clarified in a press release that not even a single rupee has been allocated for the sixth edition of the Loka Kerala Sabha.

The Loka Kerala Sabha Secretariat has an office presently. Funds have been allocated only for its administrative expenses and for programmes organised through NORKA, including the business leadership meet. The welfare schemes for expatriates are among the government’s top priorities. The office also stated that funds have been allocated for the preliminary activities required to implement such directions.
