'Yes, the marriage is over;  I'm at peace, I'm happy and I feel safe': Aparna opens up

Jeeva and Aparna Thomas, one of the popular celebrity couples on Malayalam television and social media, have confirmed that they have parted ways after 11 years of marriage.

Known for their humour, witty exchanges and entertaining on-screen presence, the couple had been the subject of separation rumours in recent days. On their wedding anniversary, Jeeva confirmed the separation through a social media post. Aparna followed it up with an Instagram post, opening up about the decision and asking for privacy.

Aparna said she was aware that many people had been waiting for her response. She confirmed that their marriage had come to an end and said the decision was not an easy one for either of them. However, she added that she now feels happy, safe and at peace.

'I know a lot of you have been waiting to hear from me, so this is me speaking to you directly. Yes, the marriage is over. It didn't work out, and honestly didn't want to continue. It was not an easy decision, I believe for both of us but it was one I needed to make for myself.

And today, I can genuinely say I'm at peace, I'm happy, I feel safe, and I feel so much lighter than I have in a long time. I don't want to get into what happened or explain every detail because some things are deeply personal. I just want to move forward and live my life peacefully. Please respect my/our privacy and give me/us that space. That's all I ask. I hope you'll understand.'
