NEW DELHI: Restrictions on Delhi Metro services have been extended amid protests in the national capital. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced that 45 key metro stations will remain closed until 10 pm today due to security concerns. The decision was taken on the directions of the Delhi Police in view of protests announced at various locations and the prevailing law and order situation. Entry and exit points at all 45 stations have been closed.
Interchange facilities will remain available at the affected stations, except the New Delhi Metro station. A decision on restoring normal services will be taken after security agencies review the situation after 10 pm. Authorities have advised metro passengers to plan their journeys in advance and follow official announcements for updates on services.
