Horror in Kadakkavoor: Second husband detained after wife’s hand chopped off in public

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 38-year-old woman sustained critical injuries after her hand was allegedly severed during a public attack at Chavadimukku in Kadakkavoor.

The victim, identified as Viji of Kadakkavoor, suffered severe trauma in the incident. According to officials, her right hand was completely severed, and her second hand sustained critical injuries. She was immediately rushed to the Government Medical College Hospital for emergency medical treatment.

Local police have taken the victim's second husband into custody in connection with the assault. Authorities said the suspect is currently undergoing a detailed interrogation by police teams.

Investigators stated that the exact motive behind the attack remains unclear. Police added that further details regarding the incident will be ascertained as the investigation progresses.
