Medical college student arrested for circulating morphed obscene images of classmate

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An MBBS student has been arrested for allegedly circulating morphed obscene images of a fellow student through social media. The accused, identified as Abel, is a third-year student at the Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. Police said he allegedly shared morphed obscene images of his classmate on social media.

Abel, a native of Wayanad, was arrested by the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Police. He was later produced before the court and released on bail. The case was registered on Wednesday morning based on a complaint filed by a female student of the medical college. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.

The complainants have alleged that Abel's mobile phone contains obscene images of several other women. They have asked the police to conduct a detailed investigation into the matter.

Meanwhile, students have launched a protest, alleging that the police are not taking adequate action on the complaint. Medical students marched to the police station demanding strict action against the accused.
