THRISSUR: Rice kept for the school midday meal scheme has been stolen in Kodungallur’s Kothaparambu. Rice, spices and utensils were stolen from the Vasudeva Vilasam LP School.


Reports say the thieves broke open the school’s kitchen and storeroom and entered the premises. Five sacks of rice, spices, other food items, and cooking vessels used for preparing meals were stolen. The theft was noticed when school authorities arrived in the morning. Following the complaint, the Mathilakam Police reached the spot and began investigation.
