Hydrogen buses coming to Kerala, preliminary talks begin

NEW DELHI: Transport Minister C.P. John said that the hydrogen bus service launched by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) in Delhi will also be brought to Kerala. He made the statement after travelling on the hydrogen-powered bus in Delhi.

C.P. John said that preliminary discussions have been held regarding starting the service in Kerala. He added that the journey was undertaken to promote clean energy, study the features of hydrogen buses, and examine the possibility of bringing similar buses to Kerala.

KSRTC CMD Pramoj Shankar and Additional Resident Commissioner Ashwathy Srinivas also travelled with the minister on the hydrogen bus. DMRC has arranged the route of the bus service from Central Secretariat, passing through locations including Sunehri Bagh and Central Vista, before returning to Central Secretariat.
