Woman, son injured as LPG cylinder catches fire

IDUKKI: A woman and her son sustained injuries after an LPG cylinder in the kitchen caught fire. The incident happened last night at Karimban in Idukki. The seriously injured two have been shifted to Kottayam Medical College Hospital. The house suffered some damage in the accident.

The two injured have been identified as Jolly and her son Justin Jose. The gas got over when Jolly was cooking and the accident happened when she was fitting a new one. She could not connect the regulator first and when she was trying again, the fire spread. The cylinder was thrown several meters away by the impact and landed at a different location.

The kitchen and the room nearby damaged in the accident. Police and fire brigade reached the spot and inspected.
