Out-of-control car rams highway patrol team in Kasaragod; two cops seriously injured

KASARAGOD: Two police officers sustained severe injuries after an out-of-control car rammed into a highway patrol team near Kanhangad in Kasaragod on Thursday afternoon.
The victims, identified as Civil Police Officers (CPOs) Sooraj and Aloshi, were on routine patrol duty when the accident occurred.
According to reports, the officers were standing behind their patrol vehicle when the speeding car lost control and crashed directly into them.
Both officers suffered grievous injuries in the impact, with CPO Sooraj sustaining trauma to his leg. CPO Aloshi is also reported to be critically injured.
The injured officers were rushed to a nearby private hospital immediately after the incident. However, as their condition worsened, they were later shifted to a multi-speciality hospital in Mangaluru for advanced medical treatment. Local authorities have initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident.
