THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Widespread rain is likely across Kerala today (August 26), with a yellow alert issued for Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki and Ernakulam districts. A low-pressure area is prevailing over Jharkhand and adjoining areas, along with the possibility of rain.


Most districts received heavy rain on Tuesday. With rain likely in the hilly regions, the Revenue and Disaster Management departments have been directed to take precautionary measures.
