THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor Prithviraj expressed his gratitude after the state government promised to establish a film city in Kochi named after veteran J.C. Daniel and to give industrial status to the cinema sector. Prithviraj’s response came through a social media post.
Prithviraj Sukumaran:
“The government's promise to establish a Film City in Kochi in the name of Mr J.C. Daniel, who can be called the creator of Malayalam cinema, and to make cinema an industry gives me joy, pride and confidence as someone close to 'celluloid'.
Another notable announcement is the formation of an anti-piracy cell. This will be a shield for the film industry. The other recognition given to cinema, including being a permanent venue for the International Film Festival, is also valuable. Thanks to the government, Chief Minister Mr V.D. Satheesan and Film Minister P.C. Vishnunadh.”
