Six-year-old girl dies after hitting head on pond steps

KANNUR: A six-year-old girl died after hitting her had on the steps of the pond at Panunda in Kannur. She has been identified as Mirza, a student of second standard. The accident happened Sunday morning. On Sundays, the locals usually carry out cleaning activities in the area.

The incident happened when Mirza and her friends came for the cleaning drive. Meanwhile, her hairband fell on the steps of the pond. She slipped and hit her head on the steps when she tried to take it.
