Three-year-old girl dies of electric shock in Pathanamthitta

PATHANAMTHITTA: A three-year-old girl died after suffering an electric shock while playing inside her house at Vayalathala in Ranni on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Avantika, the daughter of Binoy Thomas and Sandra. According to local residents, Sandra was taking a bath while Avantika was playing inside the house. A short while later, she found the child lying unconscious.

Although the family immediately rushed Avantika to Ranni Taluk Hospital, doctors were unable to save her life. Local residents said Sandra also suffered an electric shock when she touched the child. Doctors later confirmed that Avantika died due to electrocution. Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the incident.
