NEW DELHI: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) informed that they will continue protests demanding the resignation of chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. CJP leaders Ashutosh Ranga and Sourav Das made the announcement at the press meet held Sunday afternoon. Ranga alleged that Delhi was witnessing ‘Police Raj’.

‘Modi is an insult to the country. We are witnessing a situation reminiscent of the Emergency. Modi and Amit Shah are waging a war towards the people. Arresting those protesting peacefully. We will continue our fight. What is happening in Delhi is ‘police raj. When we were taken into custody yesterday, we were not even allowed to speak to our parents. They must not forget that the fight has just started.

Modi and Shah must bow their heads. Dipke’s grandmother has passed away, and we stand with him in his grief. Even when the news of the death was being conveyed, the police treated us badly. We were not even allowed to meet our lawyer. They forcibly took away our phones, and we do not know what they did with them. They may have hacked the phones. We suspect that they could have used them to fabricate evidence against us. Where was the National Human Rights Commission yesterday? The police treated us like goons,’ said Ashutosh Ranga and Sourav Das.
