Nenmara dual murder: Court to pronounce Chenthamara’s quantum of sentence tomorrow, to appear online

PALAKKAD: The court has postponed to tomorrow pronouncing the quantum of sentence of Chenthamara in the Nenmara double murder case. The argument just before the sentence has been completed. Chenthamara will appear online tomorrow. The Palakkad Additional Sessions Court will pronounce the sentence in the case. The court had found Chenthamara guilty under sections 103(I) and 126(II) of the IPC the other day.

Chenthamara is the sole accused in the case of murdering Sudhakaran of Boyan Colony, Pothundi, Nenmara, and his mother Lakshmi on January 27, 2025. Chenthamara had also murdered Sudhakaran's wife Sajitha on August 31, 2019. The court had sentenced Chenthamara to double life imprisonment and a fine in this case. He killed Sudhakaran and Lakshmi while he was on parole during the trial of the Sajitha murder case. He hacked Sudhakaran’s wife to death saying that she was the reason for his wife to estrange from him.
