Youth found dead at rented house in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: A missing youth has been found dead. The dead is Shareek of Iringallur Mundupalam in Kozhikode. He had left home two days ago and had not returned. Police say that there is a mystery surrounding his death.

He was found dead at a rented house in Mundupalam late last night. One claiming to be Shareek’s friend informed the Pantheerankavu police station. He also went to the police station and informed them. He introduced him as Muhammed Ashraf and told the police that he had beaten Shareek. When the police reached the spot and inspected the place, found his body lying on the floor.

The police are investigating how Shareek reached Mundupalam. Ashraf is being questioned. He remains in custody. The police are also investigating whether both had used drugs. It is being reported that no blood stains were found on Shareek's body.
