Case against two for brutally attacking employee of Parappanangadi railway station

MALAPPURAM: A complaint has been filed against youths for brutally attacking an employee of Parappanangadi railway station. The victim is Shawwaf (32) of Vazhakkad, working as a pointsman. The Parappanangadi police have registered a case against two youths.

The incident happened last night at around 9 pm. The accused were travelling in an AC coach on a general ticket on the Alappuzha-Kannur Express. The TTE, who noticed this, got into an argument with the accused. When the train reached Parappanangadi, the two got off. They started abusing the TTE from outside the train. Meanwhile, Shawwaf, who was on station duty, recorded this on his mobile phone.


Enraged over it, the youths brutally beat Shawwaf. They hit him on his nose, grabbed him by the neck and pushed and beat him brutally. He sustained injuries all over his body. The police have registered a case in the incident and an investigation has started.
