തിരുവനന്തപുരം: സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് ഇന്ന് വൈകുന്നേരം ഏഴ് മണിക്ക് ശേഷം ഭാഗികമായി വൈദ്യുതി നിയന്ത്രണം ആവശ്യമായി വന്നേക്കുമെന്ന് കെഎസ്ഇബി. മഴക്കുറവും അന്തരീക്ഷ താപനിലയിൽ ഉണ്ടായ വർദ്ധനവും കാരണം വൈദ്യുതിയുടെ ഉപഭോഗം മുൻകാലങ്ങളേക്കാൾ വ‌ർദ്ധിച്ച സാഹചര്യത്തിലാണ് നടപടി.

സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് മഴ മാറിനിൽക്കുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ ഇന്നത്തെ വൈദ്യുതി ഉപഭോഗം മുൻ ദിവസങ്ങളെ അപേക്ഷിച്ച് ഏകദേശം 300 മുതൽ 400 മെഗാവാട്ട് വരെ വർദ്ധിക്കാൻ സാദ്ധ്യതയുണ്ട്. പവർ എക്സ്ചേഞ്ച് വഴി ആവശ്യമായ അളവിൽ വൈദ്യുതി ലഭ്യമാകാത്ത സാഹചര്യം ഉണ്ടായാൽ ഇന്ന് ഭാഗികമായി വൈദ്യുത നിയന്ത്രണം ആവശ്യമായി വന്നേക്കാം എന്നാണ് കെഎസ്ഇബിയുടെ അറിയിപ്പ്.

The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has warned that partial power restrictions may be imposed after 7 p.m. today if required. The move comes as electricity demand has risen sharply due to reduced rainfall and higher temperatures.

KSEB said power consumption could increase by 300 to 400 MW compared to previous days. If sufficient electricity is not available through the power exchange, temporary and partial power restrictions may be introduced to manage the increased demand.
